new energy.

by no means am i a political person, but i couldn't help but feel the energy throughout the day of inaugural events, the energy of something new and the hope of refreshing change, as i watched on tv.

it was quite an interesting afternoon, while sitting with k. after school, just talking about it all. they watched at school today, and then after homework was done, we watched the motorcade and just talked about a lot of things from secret service, and what that entails, to past presidencies, and other kids in the white house. i think k. being 8 yrs old, she is already intrigued by the obama girls living in the white house. she was kinda amazed that even they have to go to school. i told her that no matter who your daddy is, you gotta go to school. now she is quite interested in getting to washington and learning more about everything...a white house tour is at the top of her list. i just loved our conversations today.

here we go. no matter the stance a person may have had this election, this is truly progress. we've come a long way. history is made. hail to the chief.

frigid.

it is frigid here. beyond frigid. it is currently 1 degree, and i don't know how true that is. that is what the computer says. there was no school today for my little k and v whom i nanny for.....it is too cold for school. how often do you say that! temps are below zero. oh mother nature. you just love to torture us. how many days til spring? living here you never know...i think winter lasts from november til may around here! brr!!
