hermes 10 miler 5k.

well that sounds funny. last weekend i did the 5k at the 10 miler race. it was fun. my first race in warm weather, which was nice, at least at the start not having to freeze as you wait to go! anyway, it was fun, a smaller group b/c most were there for the 10 mile race. got my new best time, by about 10 or so seconds!! 27:39. I placed 4th out of 16 in my age group. that was a nice surprise!

finally, a most beautiful day. i am loving it. the sun is out in the blue sky today, the weather is warm. it reminds me of when i was in florida. i went for a great run today in the park, and it was just so great to feel the sun and the nice little breeze. it just makes you feel good. hooray for sun and warmth. please stay. please? (i am ignoring the fact that i heard it is to be chilly and cold this week....i even heard a murmur of the "s" word. please no.) hello mr. sun!!! welcome back!

my peeps.

i can't believe myself. i, albeit a few days late, have discovered peeps. now i am not stupid, peeps have been around forever. but i have never tried one, well i have, but didn't like it. i don't really like marshmallows, i am picky about them. they have to be mixed in with other things. like smores. and in limited amounts. so i watch regis and kelly the other day and they were eating them. they just looked so good on tv. so i went and got a package and now i find myself addicted to them. the strangest thing. i ate that pack pretty quick. so i just found myself in the sale aisle at walgreens, (50% off after easter sale! :), stocking up on peeps. i have lost my mind. it's a marshmallow for goodness sake. i think it is the pretty sparkly sugar that does it. and they are so nice and soft and fresh. and then the lady says, it'll be 75% off tomorrow. then i am mentally planning to go back. listen to me. i have lost my mind. so i have my 50% off packs of peeps. full of sugary goodness, and too many carbs and boatloads of sugar. for the love of pete. i blame it all on regis and kelly. yep, it's their fault.

i am back from disney world. this was trip number i don't know what, but it is up there. i am such the addict, but i can't help it, i love vacationing there amidst all the fun. it was great. a much needed break from reality and the cold air here. the weather was nice and warm....downright hot at times. loved it! i wish warmth would have followed me home. it was me and my aunt, and we had a great time. i was even proud of myself, got up early 2 a.m.'s and ran around our resort (pop century). why can't i do that at home?! i didn't miss the computer/internet at all. being away from it made me realize how much time is spent on it. i need to work on bettering that. anyhoo, i am sidetracked. we spent each day at a park, by the pool, and back at the park. i ate a lot, which was really funny. it was constantly, "are you full yet?". guess all that walking made me hungry. mickey was cute as he could be. we even had a celeb spotting at animal kingdom!! anyway, i had a blast and cannot wait to go back. disney is magic. i love it.

this gift card was included in our package and made it basically a spend free vacation. nice with my big appetite this trip!!! :)
