country living fair.

this weekend my mom, aunt, and i went down to columbus to the country living fair. it was really fun, and interesting. lots of antiques and crafts to look at and shop for. it was sponsored by the country living magazine. these are some pictures that i took, beware, i went photo crazy. my favorite was the homegirl tent, lots of fun quirky stuff. she happens to be semi local so i just may have to go to her barn sale! it was a great fall day trip, despite the rain. the giant basket shown is from the longaberger basket company. just an fyi for ya. this will be a definite "to do" for next fall!

holy cross 5k.

hooray for small races! today i ran in a 5k for a local church......my first 5k since April, so it seemed short!!! anyway, it was a good day for a race, the weather was sunny yet cool. i was actually shivering as i walked up to the church! it was my best race to date! i had a personal record and won first place in my age group! i definitely had to push it thru this race, but am quite proud! time.....25:30........nearly 3 minutes off my previous best time! i never thought i'd be that fast. yay for me! thanks for coming mom, dad, aunt linda, and cousin marla....and annie the dog!!!

what could be in this lovely bag?!! a special treat for me, and not in the budget. what's a bag obsessed girl to do! i give in too easily i guess. but it was half off the already reduced rate.

last weekend me and sister went to the outlets. labor day sales in full swing. i got tempted and fell thru. i decided this is my reward for training and finishing that 10 mile race in the 90 degree heat.

any excuse right?! anyway, i like my new friend.

welcome fall.

fall is in the air! cooler mornings and nights, yet warm days. i already saw some leaves on the ground during my run on the trail. even some leaves are starting to change colors. dark arrives earlier. all the signs are here. i love fall. i am ready for sweaters, and uggs. a light jacket, or sweater. pumpkins and apples along with fall fests. i have gotten out the fall scented candles. fall is my favorite. it's what comes after that i am not a fan of!

end of summer.

the end of summer with k and v is always a rush to fit everything in. each year, it never fails. we tried to get in every activity we could. pictured are a few. all of which were new for us!
