last sunday i ran in the cleveland marathon 10k. this was my 2nd time doing it (last year was my first 10k ever!). my goal was to improve my time from last year...which i did by about 5 minutes! it was the same course, but seemed more crowded this year than last, and it didn't even thin out much til near 4 miles. i did a lot of weaving and dodging. it was fun, and i definitely pushed it. it was my first race since my half marathon, and it was good to be back in the racing atmosphere again! i missed it!
my finish time was 59:16.
it was exciting to find out that i finished 94th in my age group out of 1,088 entries! it was also exciting to find out i was 623 out of 6,584 in the female division of the 10k, and overall i was 1515 out of 11,806 particpants in this race!

Wow Maggie, ya did great!!! Your time totally rocked! My 10k time last October was 1:11 and I hope to shave time off it this year as well. I ran my first race of this season last night, a 5k and then went to support my bff in her half this morning. She shaved almost 15 minutes off of last years time....HOLY COW! My goal this year is to run a race each month from May thru October with 2 of them being 10k's. I agree that it is good to be running again and back in a race environment. Fun stuff!!!
Great time Maggie!!! :) That's aweseome!
