fun size.

there's big doings around town! many movies are filming in the area this summer, and one happens to be "fun size"by paramount pictures. it's to be a halloween movie starring victoria justice of disney channel and nickelodeon fame....(i have no idea who she is, but the girls i watch know who she is!), and it is about a girl who loses her brother trick or treating on halloween. they started filming just a week ago in my town, as well as the town where i work!

they filmed some outdoor scenes on a street not far from where i work; they decorated about 6 or so houses (outside) for halloween....it was really neat to see all the decorations in the summer heat, especially since it is typically cold here on halloween! the sets were pretty cool, and really detailed...kinda how you'd picture halloween to be. i was able to visit the street where they filmed before all the "sets" were taken down. the pictures give you an idea of what it was like, but it was a lot better to see in person! most of the filming was during the night because of the setting being halloween night. it was interesting to visit! the pictures are not that great, since i only had my phone on hand to capture these images!

and then last weekend, i just happened to be turning onto the street behind these movie trailers......they headed straight to the building they are using as the school in the movie.....it really is an old high school, but now it houses community classes and a day care. and it is only 5 minutes from my house! that was fun to see. the day after i tailed these trailers, they were filming...i think on the inside. earlier that week they had been filming on the outside (in front) of the school, which utilized our city school buses, and a new sign (for the movie, it's gone now) over the front door stating the school name in the movie, which is paul revere high school.

it's been fun around here finding where filming is happening! word is this week that filming will be up in coventry, not far from where i work, in the overnight hours. i assume it'll be outdoor filming, as it is a shopping and dining district, and businesses are still open, although the street will be closed.

it's been exciting around town! can't wait to see "fun size" in theaters fall 2012!
