the zoo.

in the middle of October, i was fascinated watching the live camera that the greenville zoo (south carolina) had put in their giraffe barn and paddock, in anticipation of the birth of their first giraffe calf.  i happened to tune in the night i discovered this camera existed, and saw the actual birth of the baby giraffe!  it didn't gross me out at all, it was actually kinda interesting to see what happens and how the animals adjust.  since then, i have tuned in to see the baby boy giraffe, named kiko, daily, and he has grown so much.  i actually learned a lot by watching them, and then googling something i might see!

i was obsessed watching those giraffes, and it gave me the urge to go to our zoo and see our resident giraffes!  so, i did!  one saturday in earlier november, we had great weather, so i decided to go to the zoo!  it was fun, the first time i have ever gone alone to the zoo.  it was enjoyable to walk around, enjoy the weather, and see the animals.  i didn't cover the entire zoo, but did see the giraffes and some of the other animals.  i could watch the giraffes all day, they have always been one of my favorites!  all in all, it was a nice few hours spent at the zoo and enjoying the fall weather!

i also wanted to see the eagle, because just days before, i am pretty sure that one flew over my car as i was driving!  that was a first, and it was clearly an eagle, it looked very much like this one.  after googling, it has been know that there are bald eagles flying around here!

i also peeked in on some other animals too!

i had a nice date with myself that afternoon!
